Red Thread Sessions

An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet regardless of time, place or circumstance. The thread may stretch or tangle but it will never break.

- Ancient Chinese Proverb

Red Thread Sessions are about weaving the common threads of our stories together. We begin any painting experience, using the tools of Intentional Creativity to call the circle together. The participants are reminded that “we are all connected with each other and are never truly alone.” This process has the capacity for connection of the mind, body and spirit and it is woven around a common theme in which the individual gets to access their own internal information.

The environment is set up to make one feel welcomed and is an invitation to explore a particular theme or topic. Some of the topics have been; The Medicine Basket, House of the Heart, The Tree of Life, and Lotus Wisdom. This is a creative experience, using the concepts of Intentional Creativity, in which the space is held in a sacred way to allow the participants to connect with the mind and heart, while holding space for the sacred or muse to inspire and inform.

The session includes a red thread circle, poetry, journaling, visioning and painting (often on water color paper) and an opportunity for interpreting and sharing personal experience within a group setting. The time frame varies from 3 hours to a day long session.

Scholarships and financial assistance are available on a limited basis to those who feel called to participate but who may not have the means to do so. Please contact Gypsy Heart Studio for more information.

What Students Say…

“My experience in every way was wonderful. Setting intentions, step by step instruction and support, individual and collective sharing of our questions and experiences, ongoing encouragement to open to what is being deeply called for, setting the tone and creating a warm environment and creative and soulful experience – all this and more describes my weekend experience painting with Olivia Marie and the other lovely women who participated. You are a beautiful and gifted teacher Olivia.”

– Molly

“In a light-filed garden oasis I was able to reclaim my “artist within” during a weekend long Color of Women workshop with Olivia Oso. Through the process, based on the work of Shiloh Sophia I was able to reclaim my long neglected Muse. As someone who had long ago abnegated my artistic self to the practicalities of life, this was a life affirming experience for me. What was once just a fantasy is now a reality. I broke through a lifetime of conditioning that would tell me that I could not paint.

With Olivia’s loving guidance and the generous supply of everything I needed to be successful: easel, paints, brushes, pencils, sparkles and bling, I was able to resurrect my artist-soul and reconnect with a part of my spirit that had been long ago banished. It was a homecoming. I am deeply grateful.”
